Beware the mass movements of toads!

In China, scientists are keeping animals in zoos and wildlife parks under close observation just in case their behaviour can give some advance warning of a quake. 
There was a mass movement of toads from a pond before the L'Aquilla quake of  2009.

There have been many documented examples of animals behaving weirdly prior to an earthquake. These scientists are trying to narrow down which odd behaviours by which animals should cause us to take preemptive steps for an imminent quake.
